"Tickets are now available for our upcoming Evening of Celebration, a gala dress-up event to be held on Friday, Oct 23, at the Sheraton Grand Ballroom from 7 pm to midnight. The Friends of Thayer Public Library are helping us celebrate the 10th anniversary of our beautiful library building. This elegant event will feature hors d’oeuvres, dancing, classical guitar to accompany a special wine tasting, and a live auction with fabulous bid items that include Celtics and Bruins tickets, autographed Red Sox baseballs, and more. There’s even an African safari for sale to the highest bidder. Tickets are only $40 per person and are available for sale at Thayer Public Library, Town Hall Clerk’s Office, and Braintree Cooperative Bank. This is the not-to-be-missed social event of the season, with all profits benefiting the library.
