01.13.10: Change You Can Believe In

From The Friends of the Norwell Public Library in Norwell:

"Too many pennies in your pocket? Got a little pile of spare change on the shelf?

The Friends of the Norwell Public Library are looking for donations to fund the discount pass to the Boston Children's Museum. Consider it a gift to the children of Norwell. This discount museum pass helps a family of 4 save $34 on each visit and was used by over 100 families in 2009. A coin collection container is ready and waiting at the library.

The Friends of the Norwell Public Library purchase area museum discount passes that are available for loan through the library. You can even reserve them in advance online through the Library's website or by phone. These include passes for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts (courtesy of an Anonymous Friend), the Boston Museum of Science, Plimoth Plantation, the South Shore Science Center, the Heritage Museum in Sandwich, the Roger Williams Zoo in Providence, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The New England Aquarium and the Institute of Contemporary Art. Throughout last year, Norwell families checked out passes over 800 times, receiving almost $25,000 in discounts. The Friends welcome private and corporate sponsorships of passes. Please email friendsofthenorwelllib@groups.live.com if you would like more information.

Thank you for all of your support!"
