From The Family Friends of the Billerica Library, Inc. in Bllerica:
"The Family Friends of the Billerica Library, Inc. have joined the Abitibi Paper Retriever Recycling Program to both encourage paper recycling and to raise funds for a variety of library programs and services. It's easy, it's fun and here's how it works . A distinctive green and yellow Paper Retriever bin is located in the parking lot of the library. The library and the entire community are encouraged to bring their paper to this bin for recycling. The program accepts newspapers, catalogs, magazines, mail, office paper and books. The only paper items not accepted are cardboard and phonebooks. Not only are we saving on the cost to the community for solid waste disposal but we are also keeping all of this paper out of the waste stream while raising money at the same time. All of the paper collected in the bin is sent directly to paper mills and re-manufactured into newsprint within a few weeks of collection. So, do your part for the community, the library and our planet. Deposit your paper in our Paper Retriever bin. More paper in the bin, means more money for the Friends!"
