From The Friends of the Granby Public Library in Granby:
"Approximately 40 gift baskets put together by members of Friends of the Granby Library are on sale for $10 to $25. This is the sixth year, Friends have made gift baskets to help support the library, Jeanne Yocum, vice-president of Friends, said.
Last year the sale brought in more than $500, she said. Each basket has a theme. There's one for Patriots' fans, one for coffee lovers, one for chocolate lovers, one for gardeners, and numerous other themes including gift baskets for children. The library is also conducting its "Warm the Heart" drive, which allows patrons to donate new items for the Child/Adolescent Unit of Providence Hospital in Holyoke. Clothing items needed include hats, socks, slippers, mittens, scarves, toys, story books, stuffed animals, crayons, markers and stickers, according to Jeanne Crosby, cataloger/circulation assistant.
Raffle tickets are now being sold for an afghan donated by Pauline Beauchemin of the library's In-Stitches knitting Group. Raffle tickets will be available right up until the raffle on Valentine's Day, Crosby said."
