"Nana’s Ice Cream Parlor on Onset Avenue in Onset opens its doors for a Spinney Memorial Library Building Fund benefit from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
The Spinney Building campaign is raising funds to eventually transform the tiny yellow Victorian Spinney building in the center of the village into a branch of the Wareham Free Library in Onset. The Friends of the Wareham Free Library are spearheading the project, which includes restoration of the landmark cottage as well as additional construction to accommodate book stacks, reading areas, public Internet access, and more. Groundbreaking is slated for later in the fall."
