"May Basket Raffles 2010
The Library's annual 'May Basket' fundraiser is one of our most colorful and energizing activities! Groups, organizations, businesses and individual donate gift baskets containing an array of appealing items. Raffle tickets are sold throughout the month of May, and winning tickets are drawn on the last Thursday evening of the month.
This year's event raised more than $3,000 for the Friends of the Library. The money will all be used to purchase items not covered by the Library's budget, including the Summer Reading Program for children, speakers and programs for both children and adults, museum passes to more than a dozen area museums, and computers for the public to use at the library. We are so grateful to all who contributed, and to all who purchased raffle tickets."
