From The Friends of the Sturgis Library in Barnstable Village:
"The Friends of Sturgis Library's famous and fabulous annual Book, Bake, and Plant sale will be held on Friday, June 4th from 1 PM to 4 PM and Saturday, June 5th from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Don't miss this great sale -- there will be books, movies, and music for all ages at rock-bottom prices! It's a perfect opportunity to stock up on your summer reading, pick up something to take on vacation, or even find a gift for the book-lover in your life! Plus you'll be able to choose from a wide variety of locally grown plants and luscious baked goods.
The Friends are interested in receiving donations of plants from your garden. Now is the perfect time to divide perennials and pot them up so that they'll be well established in pots for the sale. Donations of plants will be accepted the first week of June. The Friends would like all plants by Thursday, June 3rd if possible. Please label your plants to include the name, variety, color, growing conditions, height, and other information if possible.
It's also a great time to do some spring cleaning and donate your gently used books, DVDs, and music CDs to the Book Sale. The Friends would like all donations by the last week in May so that they will have time to sort them prior to the sale. Donations may be dropped off any time the library is open.
Finally, the Friends would like donations of baked goods for the Bake Sale. Donations may be dropped off at the library the afternoon of Thursday, June 3rd or the morning of Friday, June 4th.
For more information on the sale, please contact Elizabeth Payne at 508-362-6636."
